Letters of Intent Offered To Build New PE-IVT (transmission) Prototypes Letters of Intent and commitments have been offered to build the first prototypes of the Universal Transmission (UT). The UT is the first and only Positively Engaged metal-to-metal IVT. It provides maximum torque coming out of neutral through an infinite range of ratios - without the use of dynamic friction.
